Al'Fez Moussaka Sauce

Moussaka is a traditional Greek casserole dish layering a rich tomato-based lamb ragù, vegetables, and cheese sauce. Enjoy our warming and fragrant moussaka, perfect for creating a comforting Greek-inspired dish at home.

Preparation and Usage

1. Fry mince in 2 tbsp of olive oil until browned, 1 - add moussaka sauce and simmer for 20 mins.
2. Separately fry sliced aubergines until golden, 2 set aside. Boil sliced potatoes for 5 mins, drain.
3. In a dish, layer the meat sauce, potatoes, 3 aubergines and repeat twice. Pour an even layer of cheese sauce, sprinkle with cheddar.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 mins until golden and serve with a fresh Greek salad.
