Biona Organic Creamed Coconut is a vegan and gluten-free block made from certified organic coconuts. It adds creamy richness to curries, desserts, and homemade coconut milk. Simply grate or dissolve into dishes for authentic coconut flavour.
Biona Organic Creamed Coconut can be used to add richness and flavour to many sweet or savoury dishes. It is not hydrogenated and has no added stabilisers or emulsifiers.
To prepare homemade coconut milk simply dissolve 50g of creamed coconut in 100ml of warm water. Alternatively add a piece of the block to homemade curries or other sweet and savoury dishes for a deliciously creamy coconut flavour.
Our coconuts are sourced from the tropical island of Sri Lanka. The farm where our coconut products are harvested is rich in biodiversity. The families that run the plantation own cattle, who roam freely and whose dung, along with the coconut husks, acts as a fertilizer for the many species of other plants growing in the surrounding areas.

Preparation and Usage
Naturally creamy when mixed with water, it is a convenient way to thicken sauces and add richness to curries. Simply cut off small pieces or grate directly into your sauce and stir to melt. It can also be used in place of coconut milk in desserts by dissolving 50g in 100ml of warm water.
Cooking Guidelines
Biona Creamed Coconut can be used to add richness and flavour to many Indian, Thai and Caribbean dishes. In savoury dishes add creamed coconut grated or in small pieces towards the end of cooking and stir in. Creamed coconut is also suitable for use in desserts, cakes and as a substitute for coconut milk (50g dissolved in 100ml warm water)
