History: With these Classically California wines, Bread & Butter prides itself on delivering consistency in wine style, assembled to be approachable, easy-drinking and savory. Bread & Butter's house style is fruit-forward, delicious, and smooth; delivering the true character of the fruit from which the wine is made. The wines themselves are quite complex, layered, and expressive, but delivered in a way that evokes simplicity. As our Award-Winning Winemaker Linda Trotta says, "A good wine is a wine you like."
Regional information: All our grapes come from California - more precisely in the case of our Chardonnay, from the northern interior of California, where the climate is cooler due to the influence from the Sacramento delta. The vines are planted in deep, moist soils.
Vinification: We use the same winemaking methods as our traditional Chardonnay. Before finishing the wine, we use reverse osmosis to gently remove alcohol, while preserving the wine's quality and flavor.
