For its Barca-Velha 2015 vintage, Casa Ferreirinha blends Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Sousão, Tinto Cão and Tinta Roriz grapes from the top plots of the Quinta da Leda estate and other higher altitude vineyards in the region. This gives the blend a deep ruby hue, an intense nose of olive leaf, black fruit, pepper, and tobacco, and a vibrant, acidic palate with hints of red fruit and spice.
