Dexcel Pharma Pyrocalm Control Peppermint Flavour 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults aged 18 and over. Reflux occurs when acid travels back up from the stomach into the food pipe which may become inflamed and painful. Heartburn can feel like an uncomfortable burning sensation in the chest, rising up to the throat, sometimes leaving a sour taste in the mouth. Unlike antacids, which neutralise acid already present, Pyrocalm omeprazole 20mg for heartburn works by helping to reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces. Each gastro-resistant tablet is designed to pass through the stomach intact, releasing the active ingredient in the intestine where it is absorbed and takes effect. Take one Pyrocalm peppermint tablet in the morning, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not chew or crush. It might be necessary to take the tablets for 2-3 consecutive days to achieve improvement of symptoms. Do not take for more than 14 days without speaking to your doctor. For adults aged 18 and over. • Take one tablet once a day. Do not exceed this dose.
• The tablets should be swallowed whole.
• Do not chew or crush the tablets.

• If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor.

Do not use if you are allergic to omeprazole or any of the ingredients in this medicine. Do not use if you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used for HIV infection). Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture.
