Drapolene® Cream is used to prevent, treat and soothe nappy rash in babies from newborn onwards, without blocking the action of one-way nappy liners or disposable nappies. It is also for the relief and prevention of adult urinary dermatitis, an inflammation caused by urine on the skin, often caused by incontinence. It also treats minor burns and sunburn. Drapolene® Cream is a topical, pink emollient cream. It is smooth, non-greasy and easily applied to the affected area.

How to use: The affected area should be washed and dried thoroughly, paying particular attention to the folds of the skin.

Storage: Store below 25°C. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Safety Warning: Whilst using Drapolene® Cream: Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings, etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: You should not apply this medicine to the breasts if you are breast-feeding because the baby may take it in with your milk.
Drapolene® Cream contains: benzalkonium chloride, which may irritate the skin; wool fat (purified lanolin), cetyl alcohol and cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis); and chlorocresol which may cause allergic reactions.

Do not use Drapolene® Cream: If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzalkonium chloride or cetrimide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Fire hazard. Do not smoke or go near naked flames; clothing and bedding with this product dried on them can catch fire easily.
Possible side effects: Like all medicines, Drapolene® Cream can cause side effects such as skin rash or itching although not everyone gets them. If you or your child experience any unexpected symptoms including any that are not listed above, stop using the cream and talk to your pharmacist or doctor.
Ingredients
What Drapolene® Cream contains: Active substances are: Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01% W/W (as Benzalkonium Chloride Solution 0.02% W/W) and Cetrimide 0.2% W/W. Other ingredients are: White Soft Paraffin and Wool Fat (Purified Lanolin), Cetyl Alcohol, Emulsifying Wax (containing Cetostearyl Alcohol), Chlorocresol, Amaranth (E123), and Purified Water.
