Elastoplast Wound Spray

For antiseptic cleansing of acute wounds, such as cuts, abrasions, open blisters, first-degree and minor second-degree burns. Can also be used for chronic wounds and postoperative wound care as per your doctor's instruction.

How to use

Elastoplast recommends the following routine for optimal wound healing:

• 1. Cleansed wound is the first step to optimal wound healing. Cleanse your wound fast and pain-free with the Elastoplast Wound Spray for protection from infection.
• 2. For protection from dirt and bacteria, cover your wound with an Elastoplast plaster or wound dressing.
• 3. For faster healing and lower risk of scarring, apply Elastoplast Wound Healing Ointment regularly until the wound has visibly healed.

Use

• 1. Stop the bleeding.
• 2. Spray from a distance of about 10cm onto the entire wound area to remove dirt and visible particles.
• 3. Repeat if necessary.
• 4. Gently dry the wound and surrounding skin

0.1% Decyl Glucoside Tenside and 0.04% Polihexanide (PMHB) as Preservative in Ringer's Solution

Preparation and usage

To prevent wound infections, spray Elastoplast Wound Spray from a distance of approximately 10cm onto the entire wound area. Repeat if necessary, then gently pat dry the area around the wound.

Storage

Keep the instructions as long as you are using the product. Expiry date and lot number are printed on the bottom of the spray. Only use until expiry date. Use within 12 months after opening.

Packaging Sizes: Sprays in 15ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml. Possibly not all packaging sizes are registered for sale in all countries.

Warnings and Precautions

• In case of larger wounds with heavy exudate or signs of infection a doctor should be consulted.
• In case of burns contact a doctor in case of doubts to determine the severity of the burn.
• For external use on wounds only.
• If redness, swelling or pain develops at the wound area, the condition gets worse or the wound healing process does not start within several days a doctor should be consulted.
• In case of pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 2 years, consult a doctor before use.

Contraindications

Do not use:

• in combination with other topical preparations in the same area.
• in combination with anionic surfactants, soap, oils, gels, etc.
• in case of known allergies to any of the ingredients.
• in the middle and inner ear or in the are of the eyes.
• continuously for more than 30 days.
• Do not swallow.

Side effects

It cannot be excluded that in some rare cases a skin irritation or a rash occurs during usage. If you observe such a reaction or in case of other symptoms discontinue use and consult a physician. If you observe unexpected or potentially serious symptoms following the usage of this product, please inform your doctor or pharmacist, the manufacturer and your national health authority. Keep out of reach of children.
