Located in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation, where the Loire river meets the Atlantic, Domaine de la Morinière's granitic soils and Melon de Bourgogne vines combine to create an elegant white wine with beautiful minerality and lemon acidity. The wine is aged for seven months 'sur lie', meaning it is kept in contact with the yeast residues that impart texture and flavour. They balance the wine's natural salinity; the result is a great pairing for all kinds of seafood. Muscadet's strong maritime connections are reflected in this playful, nautical label.
Tasting Note
Crisp and mineral with citrus, blossom and sea-breeze salinity, this Muscadet is a real crowd pleaser. An outstanding match for oysters or delicate shellfish dishes.
Food Pairing
Oysters; mussels in white wine; grilled sardines; light salads.
