Pour it over ice or mix it into a signature cocktail using passion fruit sorbet and English sparkling wine. This Citrus Vodka from Fortnum's and Sapling is created by macerating 40kg of rescued lemon and orange peel for 48 hours before redistillation. Made in the Cotswolds from regeneratively farmed organic wildfarmed wheat, it is a limited edition British product of just 396 bottles.
A whopping 3.8 million tonnes of citrus peel is thrown away in the UK each year, a startling fact that inspired Fortnum's and Sapling to create this exclusive Citrus Vodka - of which only 396 bottles have been produced.
Made in the heart of the Cotswolds, Sapling Vodka is clean and smooth, using only local ingredients to reduce transport emissions. The regeneratively farmed spirit is distilled four times from organic wildfarmed wheat, then blended with charcoal filtered, deionized water. In this exclusive Citrus edition, we collected 40kg of lemon and orange peel waste from our very own 45 Jermyn St Bar and macerated in Sapling's base vodka for 48 hours before being redistilled. The result is a creamy, fragrant and zesty vodka with just a touch of sweetness.
What's more, Sapling plant a tree for every bottle sold. Simply scan the QR code on the bottle to see where your tree has been planted.
Best sipped on the rocks, or in one of our signature vodka cocktails:
Ingredients:Combine vodka and sorbet together in a cocktail shaker. Shake gently until chilled. The sorbet will dilute the vodka, chill and add body. Strain into a goblet, top with sparkling wine and garnish with lemon zest.
