In the stillness of our quiet glen at Glengoyne Distillery, we know patience is rewarded. For every minute other whiskies spend in their stills, ours spends three. Only then is it transferred to casks themselves prepared for six years. Our 12 Year Old is matured in a delicious combination of first fill sherry casks, first fill bourbon casks and refill casks which allow our fruity house style to shine through. This is the Glengoyne Way, and this is the result: a perfect balance of rich intensity and citrus freshness. Toffee apples, ginger, shortbread and a delicate hint of spice, rounded off with a soft and smooth oak finish.
While we respect the past at Glengoyne, we also believe in protecting our future. Our liquid waste is cleansed in CO2-capturing reed beds and our solid waste is harvested for enough energy to power 354 homes each year. We also harness the power of the wind to help us reach our destination by sourcing all our electricity from turbines. The packaging for this Glengoyne 12 Year Old is 100% recyclable, free of magnets and plastic, sourced from FSC approved suppliers and sourced almost entirely in Scotland.
