Our barbacoa taco recipe kit is made in the heart of Mexico using a traditional barbacoa recipe. It has layers of flavour from Mexican dried chillies and a unique blend of Mexican spices and garlic for a taco filling with a deliciously smoky and spicy flavour.

Shopping list

• 400g boneless, skinless chicken, also delicious with beef mince, pork loin steaks or halloumi
• 1 pack gran luchito soft taco wraps
• 1 medium onion
• 1 bunch of coriander
• 1 lime

From your cupboard

• 1 tbsp vegetable or olive oil

Preparation

Cut chicken into bite-size chunks, finely dice 1 medium onion and finely chop 30g of coriander.

Cooking Instructions

• 1. Heat up a pan over high heat with a drizzle of vegetable oil. When hot, add chicken, stir and fry for 3 mins. Add the spice blend, cook for 2 more mins and stir to release the aromatics.
• 2. Add the smaller base flavour sachet and cook for a further 2-3 mins.
• 3. Stir in the larger main sauce sachet, reduce the heat and cover with a lid for 7 mins to finish the sauce.

To serve

Serve with warm Gran Luchito Soft Taco Wraps, top with coriander and onion garnish and a squeeze of lime.

For traditional style Barbacoa Tacos, follow the steps above using bite-size chunks of pork loin.
