Preparation and usage

Preparation Instructions

You will need: water, fresh or canned fruit, sugar, 15 cm (6) flan case

• 1. To Prepare: Drain contents of can of fruit (syrup or natural juice) and set liquid aside. Fill the flan case with fruit pieces (or use fresh fruit).
• 2. Heat: Place the contents of sachet in saucepan with: If using canned fruit in syrup: 100ml of syrup and 100ml of water. If using canned fruit in natural juice: 100ml of natural juice and 100ml of water and add 25g of sugar. If using fresh fruit: 200ml of water and 25g of sugar. Heat to boiling whilst stirring continuously and continue to boil for 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and leave to one side to cool a little.
• 3. Spoon: The jel is ready to use when the texture has started to thicken - approx. 10-15 minutes. Spoon the jel, a tablespoon at a time, over the fruit and allow to set in a cool place until the jel is firm. If the first spoonful of jel seeps into the flan case, allow to cool for a little longer, checking frequently so that it doesn't set completely.
