Heresztyn-Mazzini Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Les Perrieres 2020 Red Wine 75cl

Florence Heresztyn and her husband Simon Mazzini took over the estate from Florence's parents and uncle with the 2012 vintage and have made great progress since then. This is a fine estate in a famous village. Florence's grandfather arrived from Poland in the 1930s, and gradually built up the estate. Florence and Simon are in conversion to organic and biodynamic viticulture, with the 2019 their first vintage producing Ecocert-certified organic wines.

This 2020 vintage wine offers remarkable finesse in spite of the hot conditions of the vintage, and has great ageing potential in bottle.

Tasting Notes:
Bright and well balanced, there is a subtle richness but at the same time a pleasant tension. An overtly floral wine, the violet perfumes shoot out, with attractive nuances of pepper spice. Beautiful blackberry and red- berry fruit flavours dance around in the background.
