Mirin is a type of rice wine and a common ingredient in Japanese cooking. It is similar to sake but with a lower alcohol content and higher sugar content. The rich sweetness of Kong Yen's Mirin can eliminate bad odours in dishes. It can also be used to tenderize meats and enhance the colour of dishes.
