Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. Hand-braided, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities which make it authentic. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly.
Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape. To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Ventilate your room regularly to reduce it. To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light exposure.
Some materials are very fibrous (such as wool). Wool rugs pill naturally during the first few months: this is normal for this type of product and is not a defect. Remove the excess fibres by hand where possible, do not use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush as this can pull and tear the fibres. The pilling will improve over time. For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Dry clean recommended. Wipe clean only.
