Product Information: Chickpeas have an earthy taste with nutty undertones and are a good substitute for meat in vegetarian diets. Although ideal for soups, stews and delicious, creamy hummus, dried chickpeas are also essential for good falafel.
Preparation and Usage: To cook: Soak the chickpeas overnight in cold water. Drain and rinse then place in a pan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil for 10 mins and then simmer for 85 mins or until tender. Drain and serve. Do not eat raw.
