Vitamin K plays an important role in the body. It is primarily responsible for maintaining healthy bones and contributes to proper blood clotting. Vitamin K is a fat-soluble compound and occurs mainly in two natural forms: as vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) and as vitamin K2 (menaquinones). The first type of this substance can be found in green vegetables and vegetable oils, among others. However, it is vitamin K2 - and especially its best absorbed form, MK-7 - that is particularly important for bone health. Dietary sources of vitamin K2 are animal products and fermented foods (e.g. natto).

The recommended daily serving (1 capsule) contains 100 µg of vitamin K2 in the form of menaquinone-7, corresponding to 133% of the RWS. The product is best taken with or immediately after a meal.
