The two-stage grinding mechanism effortlessly shatters then grinds the dry salt crystals or peppercorns to the desired grain size. Salt intensifies aromas, balances other flavours and makes vegetables tastier. Choose very finely ground pepper to bring out its spice when cooking, or a coarser grind to highlight its aromas, flavour and texture, for example when adding to a salad. The gear mechanisms are made of durable stainless steel that is treated to prevent corrosion and rust, and guaranteed for lifetime longevity.

The mills come either partially filled for immediate enjoyment or with a sample sachet. The Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam has warm woody tones. The Cristaux de sel blanc d'Allemagne is a dry white salt that comes from Germany, and is perfect for everyday cooking. To refill, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top and pour in your salt or peppercorns. Use only dry rock salt, to a maximum size of 4mm. For peppercorns, the maximum size is 6mm.
