For a century, Taylor's has owned the beautiful riverside estate of Vargellas, in the wildest, highest country of Douro. Here the grapes still trodden by foot to become the wine which is the backbone of Taylor's vintage port. In certain years when a Taylor's vintage is not declared, the best of the estate's produce is selected and bottled as a 'single-quinta' vintage. In its century of Taylor's ownership, Vargellas has become recognized as one of the great wine estates of the world. This port is from a single vintage.
