Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: Water, Onion, Tomato (7%), Tomato Paste, Spices (4.5%) [Ancho Chilli Powder, Cumin, Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove], Spirit Vinegar, Modified Maize Starch, Garlic Purée, Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Coriander Leaf, Salt, Black Pepper, Oregano, Thyme.

Preparation and usage

Birria Beef Brisket

• Serves 2
• Cooking time: 2 hours
• Method: Oven/ slow cooker

Ingredients:

• 30ml (2 tbsp) oil
• 750g Beef Brisket
• 1 jar of Tesco Finest Birria Sauce
• 1 onion

Method:

• 1. Preheat the oven to 170°C/Fan 150°C/ Gas 3.
• 2. Score the Beef brisket with a knife.
• 3. Add oil to a casserole dish and sear the meat, cover with sauce and a sliced onion.
• 4. Rinse the sauce jar with 100ml of water and add it back to the meat. Cook beef for 2 hours.
• 5. Remove and shred the meat with forks. Add 100ml of water to the cooking liquid, stir through and simmer for a couple of minutes for a flavourful dipping broth.

To serve: Serve with tacos or tortilla wraps and use the broth for dipping
