A smoky, rich tomato and chipotle sauce inspired by authentic recipes from the Puebla region of Mexico.

INGREDIENTS: Water, Tomato (14%), Tomato Paste, Green Pepper, Onion, Garlic Purée, Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Modified Maize Starch, Spices [Smoked Paprika, Cumin, Chipotle Chilli Powder, Fennel, Chilli Powder, Cinnamon, Red Chilli Powder], Salt, Colour (Paprika Extract), Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Oregano, Spirit Vinegar.

Preparation and usage:

Tinga Chicken
Serves 2.
Cooking time: 15 minutes.
Method: Hob.

Ingredients:
15ml (1 tbsp) oil.
400g chicken fillets.
1 jar of Tesco Finest Tinga Sauce.

  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a medium saucepan.
  • Add chicken fillets and sauté for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the jar of sauce and simmer gently, lid on, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  • Shred the chicken with a fork and mix well through the sauce. Serve with tortilla wraps or rice.
