Preparation and usage

Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes. Method: Oven. Makes: 6 cupcakes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 1 egg (medium)
• 80ml (5 tbsp) oil
• 60ml (4 tbsp) water
• 25g softened butter
• Cupcake or muffin tray

To make cupcakes:

• 1. Pre-heat the oven to 180ºC / Fan 160ºC / Gas 4.
• 2. Place the cupcake cases into a cupcake tray.
• 3. Empty the cake mix sachet into a large bowl and add 1 medium egg, 5 tbsp (80ml) oil, 4 tbsp (60ml) cold water and mix with a spoon or a handheld whisk until combined and batter is smooth.
• 4. Divide the mixture between the cupcake cases and bake in the centre of the oven for 25-30 minutes until risen.
• 5. Cool in the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

To make the frosting:

• 1. Empty the green frosting mix sachet into a bowl and add 25g softened butter.
• 2. First, gently mix the softened butter into the powdered frosting with a spoon or using a handheld whisk, then mix well until it becomes smooth and creamy.
• 3. Once cooled, spread the frosting on each cupcake.
• 4. Sprinkle the green strands across all of the cupcakes.
• 5. Place the decorations on top of the iced cupcakes.
