Original Taco Recipe

• 1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a small pan, add the whole herbs and spices from the sachet and cook for 20 seconds. Add the onion and cook for 1 minute.
• 2. Add the protein or vegetables and brown lightly, or if using fish or seafood, hold this back and add this along with the sauce in step 3.
• 3. Stir in the sauce (large pouch) and simmer for another 3-5 minutes, or until the protein or veg is cooked through.
• 4. Layer taco shells with beans, lettuce, the salsa (small pouch), the hot filling, and top with cheese.

Serves 2-3 with soft or hard taco shells. Please ensure food is fully cooked and piping hot throughout before serving. Tailor to taste: finish with pickled mango slices, use half the sauce to marinate chicken for 12 hours, add shredded coriander, diced onion and lime juice, or add sour cream.
