Tullamore D.E.W. is the original triple blend Irish whiskey. The original Tullamore distillery opened its doors in 1829 in the heart of Tullamore town and it continues to be produced in Tullamore to this day.

Three spirits blend together: Grain whiskey gives sweet flavours. Malt whiskey gives fruit flavours. Pot still whiskey gives spice flavours. Triple cask-matured for depth and balance. Over a period of several years, Tullamore D.E.W. Original is aged in traditional refill barrels, ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry butts.

A sweet, biscuit flavour reflects the grain whiskey, while the soft spicy notes can be attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend. The fruit citrus flavour is complemented by the malt. Finally notice the nutty or even marzipan note combined with distinctive vanilla in the finish - imparted by the sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation.

The smooth and versatile liquid make it the perfect whiskey for sharing with friends as it blends beautifully with a range of serves.

The Tullamore, Lemon Lime combination is bringing back an old tradition in pub culture of mixing whiskey with lemonade. A surprisingly simple pairing that is delicious, this easy citrus cocktail is perfect for summer or any special occasion.

• 2 parts Tullamore D.E.W. original
• 4 parts lemonade (7up/Sprite)
• Fresh cubed ice
• Wedge of lime

How to: Pour the measure of Tullamore D.E.W. into a highball glass, add the ice. Top up with lemonade. Squeeze a fresh lime into the glass and drop in the wedge.
