Zeolite is a naturally occurring mineral that originates from the volcanic activity in the South Aegean volcanic arc of Turkey. Millions of years ago, volcanic eruptions released vast amounts of ash from alkaline earth elements. Some of this ash formed dense beds, while much of it settled into seas and lakes. When the chemistry of the water is just right, the volcanic ash interacts with the water, creating natural zeolite-soft, structured rocks with a unique internal arrangement.
